MARKOWITZ   COUNSELING

NOW IS THE ONLY TIME TO LIVE

Mitch has worked with adults for over a decade in private practice as a therapist in New York City and in Mid-Coast Maine.  He specializes in working with children and families.

His Dynamic Individual Therapy is a body-centered approach for adults that allows access to core issues for increased energy and aliveness. His approach is empathic, active and result oriented: Mindfulness is the context for making deep contact with issues allowing new movement and freedom of expression. The mind-body and emotions are integrated in this therapy, to bring greater levels of functioning in client's lives.

He brings a multimodal approach working actively to meet each person where they are to help them maximize their potential. This approach is excellent for treating anxiety, depression, anger issues, trauma and grief/loss. Mitch offers an interactive, solutions-based therapy that quickly gets to the root of the issue or challenge you bring in.

Mitch has worked in a variety of settings over the last 15 including extensive experience with children in schools, in psychiatric emergency rooms and mobile crisis. His clinical skills have consistently been extremely helpful to clients.
